Faith Renee Wilcox, 24, of West Liberty, Ohio, tragically passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, adventure, and kindness. Known as the family’s "Sunshine Girl," Faith’s bright spirit and generous heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on July 11, 2001, in Westerville, Ohio, Faith was the cherished daughter of Jeffrey Carl and Heidi Lynn Strayer Wilcox. Her remarkable journey began in West Liberty, where she was not only the class valedictorian at Marysville High School in 2020 but also a beacon of hope and strength for her community during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Faith's career centered on helping others. She worked as an associate at Yoder Learning Center, where she dedicated her life to serving children with special needs, and previously as an activities coordinator in the memory care unit at Walnut Crossing Senior Community. Faith’s unique ability to connect with others and offer unwavering support will be remembered by all who worked with her.
Her love for nature was well-known—whether it was hiking through the Tennessee mountains, watching sunsets, or spending time with her beloved cat, "The Bird." Faith’s creative soul shone through in her writing, music, and art, showcasing her depth and humility.
Faith leaves behind her parents, Jeffrey and Heidi Wilcox; her sister, Jenna; her grandparents, Stan and George Strayer; and a host of loving relatives and friends. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Marysville Grace Church, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and spirit.
